Pro Hac Vice Arizona

FAQ

Is there a fee

There is a $505 application fee for pro hac vice admission to the Arizona state courts.

What documents do I need?

You will need a Verified Application (notarized), Motion to Associate Local Counsel, Proposed Order, an Arizona sponsoring attorney, and a Certificate of Good Standing from each state in which the applicant is licensed.

How do I apply?

Mail a copy of the Verified Application, Certificate of Good Standing, and application fee to the State Bar of Arizona at 4201 North 24th Street, #200, Phoenix, AZ 85016. Upon receipt, the State Bar of Arizona will mail a Notice of Receipt of Complete Application. Local Arizona counsel should make a Motion to Associate Local Counsel on the superior court where the pro hac vice admission is sought. The Motion should include the original Verified Application, the original Certificate of Good Standing, and the original Notice of Receipt of Complete Application. A proposed order must be served on the court as well.

Is local counsel required

The State Bar of Arizona requires pro hac vice applicants to associate with local counsel to practice before the Arizona courts. Local counsel also provides valuable local practice insights that benefit your client.
